With Robert Griffin III set to return to the Cleveland Browns' starting lineup this Sunday, head coach Hue Jackson is hoping to get enough of a look at his quarterback to determine if he is the long-term answer.

Griffin injured his shoulder starting the season opener, but was announced as the starter for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson told media that he chose Griffin to start because he gives them the best chance to win and he wants to use the starts to judge if he should return as the starter next year, via Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.

The former second overall pick's ability to stay healthy will play a key role in Jackson's decision. Griffin has never played a complete 16-game season in his career, while the Browns have had issues keeping quarterbacks healthy all year.

Jackson believes Griffin has a chance to show he has the tools to be the quarterback of the future, but wants to know for sure.

In his only action of the season, Griffin completed 12-of-26 passes for 190 with one interception while rushing for 37 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was signed to a two-year deal last March.

In the final four games, the Browns are scheduled to play the Bengals, Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers as they attempt to avoid becoming the second 0-16 team in NFL history.
