Osweiler: 1st-place battle vs. Colts 'the biggest game of our season'

The 2016 season is winding down and every game the rest of the way carries added importance. But in the AFC South, every game is a must-win.

The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Titans share identical 6-6 records and a share of the AFC South lead with just four games left in the year.

One team is assured to separate from the pack and another will fall behind as the Texans and Colts will meet at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.

"This game Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, this is the biggest game of our season," Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler conceded Wednesday.

Osweiler qualified that statement by adding that every game is of the most importance, but the head-to-head matchup with the Colts will go a long way in determining which team will make it out of the AFC South with a playoff spot.

The Colts lost the first meeting in Week 6 by a 26-23 score, so they need to win Week 14's game in order to split the season series. The Texans aren't taking their tiebreaker advantage for granted, however.

"I'm viewing our season right now as a one-game season and it's a one game that we must win. I think our entire football team understands that. There's great urgency in this building right now and it reflected at today's practice," Osweiler said. "No doubt about it, we understand as a team how important Sunday is and you can expect our best effort come Sunday."

The Titans will host the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos on Sunday.
