Manning advises Beckham to play nice with refs: 'Kill them with kindness'

Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants are having some problems with the officiating lately, but not to fear, Eli Manning has the answer.

While the Giants are requesting the league look into several calls on Beckham from Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Manning says his talented target needs to change his approach on how to deal with officials.

"(Beckham's) got to be careful. With officials, you want to kill them with kindness," Manning told WFAN 660 Monday, according to Newsday's Tom Rock. "He's got to learn to be a good guy and warm up to those guys to get some calls."

Beckham was seen regularly arguing with officials on Sunday and apparently was told to "get out of my face" by one of them. The Giants receiver even suggested to reporters that the particular crew who officiated the game to no longer be assigned to his games.

Despite the refereeing, Beckham finished with 10 catches for 100 yards in the 24-14 loss.
