Chargers' Travis Benjamin: Another dismal performance in loss

Benjamin caught two of his four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.

Analysis:

Benjamin should have had a big game Sunday, as he was left wide open for what appeared to be a long touchdown early in the fourth quarter, but the speedy receiver instead let the ball carom off his hands. That play seemed to sum up the Chargers offense Sunday, as the entire passing unit in particular was ineffective. For the moment, Benjamin is clearly the third option at the wide receiver spot, as Tyrell Williams and Dontrelle Inman have deservedly become focal points in the Chargers' aerial attack.
