Falcons' Tevin Coleman: Double-digit carries in loss to Chiefs

Coleman ran 12 times for 49 yards in Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Chiefs.

Analysis:

Coleman averaged a miserable 1.1 yards per carry in his return to the field last week, but he managed a much more respectable performance this time around as he equaled his season high in attempts. Devonta Freeman touched the ball 19 times in this one, including a pair of one-yard scores, so he clearly seems to have the edge in this timeshare of sorts. That said, there is room for Coleman to produce in Atlanta's fast-paced offense, and he should be in line for a similar workload next week against the Rams, who have proven susceptible to strong rushing attacks this year.
