Rams' Todd Gurley: Held in check by Patriots

Gurley managed just 38 yards on 11 carries and added two catches for nine yards on three targets in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Patriots.

Analysis:

Gurley was bottled up with rookie quarterback Jared Goff failing to provide any semblance of a threat as a passer. The second-year running back has been unable to get much going as the central member of a poor all-around offense, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry while scoring only four times. Those numbers represent a stark contrast to a wonderful rookie campaign in which Gurley managed 4.8 yards per attempt and found paydirt on 10 occasions. It doesn't look like things are going to get any better for him down the stretch despite his continued role as the primary running back in Los Angeles.
