Detroit Lions defensive end Armonty Bryant has been activated from the commissioner's exempt list and veteran running back Justin Forsett has been waived, the team announced.

Forsett was signed by the Lions in early October, but appeared in just two games, recording 38 yards on 13 carries. He started the year with the Baltimore Ravens, where he played the previous two seasons, making the Pro Bowl in 2014.

Bryant is now eligible to play after serving a three-game suspension, his second suspension of the season after beginning the year with a four-game ban. The fourth-year end recorded three sacks in four games with the Lions before having his latest discipline handed to him.

The Lions also waived cornerback Johnthan Banks and signed wide receiver TJ Jones to the active roster from the practice squad.
