Texans' Clowney downgraded to out vs. Packers

Troy Taormina / USA TODAY Sports

Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will not play in Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Clowney was initially listed as questionable with elbow and wrist injuries, but was downgraded to out Saturday after not traveling with the team to the game.

It's unclear if the former No. 1 overall pick suffered a setback.

The Texans have survived the loss of J.J. Watt to lead the AFC South in part because Clowney has been mostly healthy and productive this season. In 11 games, he has 41 tackles and three sacks.
