Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith appears to be on track to make his return to the lineup after sitting out the last two games with a back injury.

Speaking with reporters following Friday's practice, head coach John Harbaugh indicated an expectation that, after some recent progress, Smith would be available Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

"He looks good," Harbaugh said, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. "We weren't sure early in the week if he was going to be able to go, and he just responded well, and he looks good. It will mean a lot. It will help our defense. We'll be, really, pretty much, full strength out there. That's a big plus for us."

Smith officially received the questionable tag as part of Friday's injury report, but his full participation throughout the week of practice all but confirms that he's considered ready so play.

The former first-round pick should immediately return to a lead role in the secondary. His presence will be key to the unit's chances of limiting a Dolphins passing attack that's shown well in the first season under new head coach Adam Gase.
