Gase credits Dolphins' maturity for 6-game winning streak

To the surprise of many, the Miami Dolphins are in the midst of a six-game winning streak after stumbling out of the gate to a 1-4 mark.

If the playoffs started Friday, the Dolphins would hold the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC, and head coach Adam Gase reflected on the team's dramatic ascension.

"We've really turned around as far as a maturity standpoint of our younger guys doing things right, our veterans doing a good job of showing these guys the right way to do things, day in and day out," Gase said, according to NFL.com's Judy Battista. "I think that's been our biggest turnaround as far as just doing all of the things leading up to the game, and then on Sunday, that's at least giving us our best chance to know what to do and to execute our game plan."

The Dolphins have been successful since forging a run-heavy identity, but face a tough test Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens' top-ranked run defense.
