Bradford: Ref told me I wasn't hit on facemask during 2-pointer

The Minnesota Vikings are justified in feeling aggrieved over their 17-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.

On a potentially game-tying two-point attempt with 25 seconds remaining, Cowboys defensive tackle Cedric Thornton clearly made contact with Sam Bradford's helmet after he released the ball.

The penalty wasn't called, however, and referee Tony Corrente didn't give the quarterback much of an explanation.

"Um, he told me that I did not get hit in the facemask," Bradford said after the game, according to Bernie Augustine of NY Daily News.

The replays show otherwise:

The veteran pivot was careful not to criticize the refs, as the NFL hasn't been afraid to hand out fines this season for doing so.

"I mean, I saw the replay but I'd probably have to look at it closer," Bradford said. "I just got a glimpse of it."

Bradford's teammate, defensive end Brian Robison, was clearly less concerned about potential discipline from the league.

"I'm sick and tired of the reffing in this league right now," Robison said. "I'm sick and tired of it. You've got holding calls all over the place that people don't want to call. Bradford gets hit in the face at the end of the game and you don't call it. I’m not laying this loss on reffing, but at some point it's got to get better. ...

"It gets to a point where it's too frustrating ... I'm probably going to get fined for this, I understand that, but somebody has got to step up and say something."
