Cowboys' Jason Witten: Held catchless in a game for first time since 2008

Witten did not appear on the stat sheet in Thursday's 17-15 win over the Vikings, going without a catch for the first time since the 2008 season.

Analysis:

The veteran tight end's franchise record of 130 straight games with a reception went by the wayside in the process, but Witten still found a way to play a pivotal role in sealing the victory. He had a key block on Zeke Elliott's longest run of the night, and his recovery of the Vikings' last-gasp onside kick with 25 seconds left ensured the Cowboys a club-record 11th consecutive win, although those plays naturally did nothing for his fantasy prospects. However, there's Witten will likely bounce back to some degree when Dallas takes on the Giants in a late-season NFC East showdown in Week 14.
