Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan believes receiver Sammy Watkins will play in Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, barring a setback in recovering from his foot injury, Mike Rodak of ESPN reports.

Watkins returned to team practice on Thursday, albeit on a limited basis. This came after he missed Wednesday's practice with what was reported as foot soreness.

The third-year pro was shelved from Week 3 onward with a foot injury that required rest and rehab, necessitating a stint on injured reserve. He returned in Week 12 and caught three passes for 80 yards.

Bills offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn told reporters Watkins still isn't at 100 percent.

"He has a broken bone in his foot. I don't know whether he's gonna play one play or 20 plays," Lynn said, according to Rodak.

The Bills' receiver corps is growing increasingly thin as Marquise Goodwin sustained a wrist injury at Thursday's practice, according to multiple reports. Ryan also said it "doesn't look good" for either Robert Woods or Percy Harvin to play Sunday.

Justin Hunter would be thrust into a feature role if those three receivers miss time.
