Bears' Eddie Royal: DNP on Wednesday

Royal (toe) didn't take part in practice Wednesday.

Analysis:

Afforded just 12 of the Bears' 80 offensive snaps Sunday against the Titans, Royal was an afterthought in a new-look offense led by first-time starting QB Matt Barkley. In fact, Royal ranked fifth among wideouts in terms of usage, resulting in one measly catch for negative-six yards. Even if he attains active status this weekend against the 49ers, his health may not allow him to log much time on the field.
