Bills expect Watkins to play vs. Jaguars; McCoy questionable

The Buffalo Bills are officially listing wide receiver Sammy Watkins and running back LeSean McCoy as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The upgraded status for Watkins comes on the heels of a full week of practice. All indications are that he'll return to the field for the first time since complications with his surgically repaired foot had him sent him to injured reserve early in the season.

After telling reporters the day prior that he felt "pretty good" about Watkins' chances of suiting up, head coach Rex Ryan said Friday that the Bills are "definitely going to get him in there," according to Mike Rodak of ESPN.

The team wasn't as emphatic about McCoy's status, but all week he's been expected to play through his dislocated thumb. He participated in three consecutive practices despite undergoing surgery following last Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Having both Watkins and McCoy in the lineup for the stretch run, even if each is on a limited snap count this week, would be an extremely positive development for the Bills' offense. The healthy presence of both playmakers is imperative for Buffalo's chances of making a playoff push.
