In a rare turn of events, a member of the winless Cleveland Browns was happy to be at practice Wednesday.

Quarterback Robert Griffin III provided a much more upbeat attitude than what his team has been used to in his first practice since early September.

"I'm the happiest guy in the building today," Griffin said, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon. "There will be a lot of happy guys tomorrow because it's Thanksgiving, but today I think I'm the happiest guy in the building."

Griffin was designated as the team's injury reserve returnee, but head coach Hue Jackson said he won't be active Sunday against the New York Giants because Griffin has one more test to pass before being fully cleared.

The former second overall pick was injured in the Brown's season opener, breaking a bone in his left shoulder. Griffin said he's preparing to be back in uniform for the final month of the season.

"I just want to be able to be healthy and help this team win games," Griffin said. "Like I said, today was fun just to get back out there. The guys could feel the energy from me at least. Like a little kid out there with fresh legs. They were probably all telling me to slow down."

Despite never playing a full 16-game schedule in his five-year career, Griffin isn't worried about his body breaking down.

"I'm 26 years old man; I'm not 45," said Griffin. "I've got a lot of football left ... "

"I still feel I can be the guy for this organization, and I look forward to going out and proving it."
