Report: Vikings' Peterson could return next month

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could be back on the field as soon as the middle of December, sources informed Ben Goessling of ESPN.
Peterson suffered a right knee injury in the second week of the season and has been sidelined ever since. He underwent meniscus surgery in late September and was thought to require a three-to-four month recovery timeline.
Goessling writes that Peterson can begin running this week and, barring a setback, could be available for one of the Vikings' final games of the regular season.
Fantasy Fallout: Stashing Adrian Peterson could pay huge dividends
The Vikings released running back Ronnie Hillman on Monday, leaving just Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata as the lone backs on the roster.
