Jets' Ryan Fitzpatrick: Will start Sunday
Fitzpatrick (knee) has been named the starting quarterback for Sunday's contest against the Patriots, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis:
A Week 11 bye undoubtedly helped Fitzpatrick recover from the MCL sprain that contained him to the sideline in the Jets' previous game on Nov. 13 versus the Rams. Faced with a choice between the underwhelming Fitzpatrick and unready Bryce Petty this weekend, head coach Todd Bowles will roll with the former in a divisional clash. Although Fitzpatrick has bounced back slightly in his last five appearances -- four touchdowns versus three interceptions -- he's only completed 57 percent of his passes and averaged 194 passing yards per outing during that span.
