Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy underwent surgery on his thumb Monday, but is still expected to play in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, barring an unexpected setback, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

McCoy was unable to finish Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals after dislocating the digit. Medical staff were unable to pop the thumb back in.

The veteran runner has enjoyed a resurgent season, ranking ninth in the league in rushing.

It's somewhat of a surprise that the injury won't at least make his status for Week 12 questionable, but it appears all but certain he'll be suiting up against Jacksonville.
