Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Throws for two scores, two picks

Palmer completed 20 out of 38 attempts for 198 yards, two touchdowns and two picks in Sunday's loss to Minnesota. He added 11 yards on a single rush.

Analysis:

Vikings corner Xavier Rhodes got the best of Palmer on Sunday, snatching an end-zone pass and returning it 100 yards for a pick-six in the second quarter and then tracking an overthrown deep ball in the third quarter for a second interception. Palmer posted his lowest yardage total and second-lowest completion percentage of the season against a very good Minnesota defense. More concerning, it was the fifth time in his last seven games that Palmer threw at least as many interceptions as touchdowns. After a 5:0 TD:INT ratio to start the season, Palmer has posted a 6:10 figure in that category since Week 3, along with nine fumbles, three of them lost. Palmer is fresh off a three-game streak of at least 340 yards passing - evidence that he can still fill out the box score - but he is far from the surprise MVP candidate he was a year ago.
