Falcons' Jones will play vs. Panthers after 2-game absence

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones will play Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, head coach Dan Quinn announced Thursday.

Jones sat out the Falcons' previous two games with a sprained toe.

The Falcons won both games Jones missed, scoring 83 total points in the process, but will certainly welcome the return of their top receiving weapon as they battle down to the wire for the NFC South title.

In 12 games this season, Jones has 72 receptions for 1,253 yards and five touchdowns. Despite the missed time, he still leads the NFL in receiving.

Also returning for Saturday's game will be Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins. Tight end Austin Hooper and linebacker De'Vondre Campbell were ruled out.
