Denver Broncos star pass-rusher Von Miller doesn't want to be the next victim of a celebrity sex tape scandal.

Miller is attempting to block the release of an alleged sex tape held by Instagram model Elizabeth Ruiz, according to The Smoking Gun. The court documents detail that Ruiz offered to sell the video, recorded on her cell phone, to Miller for $2.5 million.

Last week, lawyers petitioned a Los Angeles judge to prevent Ruiz from distributing the tape.

The video was allegedly recorded in the offseason while Miller was vacationing in Mexico. Ruiz has attempted to sell the footage to TMZ and a "widely-known 'sex-tap broker,'" according to the documents. Miller is referred to as "Doe" in documents, but the description fits his profile:

His ability to benefit from his fame depends on the appeal of his persona to many different people from virtually all walks of life, including families and children. He cannot count on this appeal if Ruiz exposes images of him in the most intimate of physical acts between a man and woman, done in private and intended to remain private.

Ruiz has not achieved a similar level of success in her chosen career path, but she desperately craves fame and fortune. She is willing to betray Plaintiff’s trust and to shame and humiliate him to achieve her craven aims. Ruiz herself has stated that she wants "to be the next Kim Kardashian" and hopes to be catapulted to fame and fortune with a sex tape at Plaintiff’s expense and without his permission.

The documents show Miller contacted Ruiz to delete the recording, to which she agreed.
