Cowboys' Tony Romo: Destined for second-string job

According to Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, Romo (back) will be active in Week 11 against the Ravens but will serve as the backup to rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, the Star-Telegram reports.

Analysis:

Romo practiced in full last week but was still deemed inactive for Sunday's win over the Steelers, which marked the Cowboys' eighth straight victory under Prescott's command. In the midst of such a successful run, Dallas will rightfully stick with the hot hand and continue with Prescott as its starting quarterback, even with Romo slated to return for this Sunday's game against the Ravens. While that solidifies Prescott's stock going forward, it keeps Romo waiting in the wings until further notice, leaving his fantasy value at that of a glorified backup.
