Roethlisberger: Steelers are 'undisciplined and not accountable'

Ben Roethlisberger does not enjoy having a losing record.

After dropping Sunday's contest 35-30 in a thriller to the Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was very open with media about the disappointment in his team's play.

"We are undisciplined and not accountable," Roethlisberger said after the game, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "That's why (the Cowboys) are one of the best in the business and we're not right now."

Big Ben topped off his 408-yard day by finding Antonio Brown for a go-ahead score in the final minute before his defense allowed a 33-second game-winning touchdown drive by the Cowboys, sinking Pittsburgh's record to 4-5.

When the two-time Super Bowl winner was asked how he thinks the Steelers can get to the level they need to be on, Roethlisberger was stumped.

"I don't know," responded Roethlisberger. "Is it players? Is it coaches? I don't know, but we need to get there quick."

Head coach Mike Tomlin and running back Le'Veon Bell weren't as harsh evaluating Sunday's performance, but agreed with his point.

"We obviously are making costly mistakes, and they hurt us," Bell said. "We need some more detail and we're going to keep falling short until we get that."
