Browns' Robert Griffin: Could return soon

Griffin (shoulder) will have a scan within the next few weeks and could return from injured reserve soon, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Analysis:

Griffin threw during warm-ups before Thursday's game against the Ravens, when the Browns utilized two quarterbacks in their latest failed attempt at securing their first win of the season. Tabbed the team's starter going into the campaign, Griffin didn't even last a full game before fracturing his left shoulder, which resulted in him being placed on IR, but he's now eligible to return at any time. With a scan scheduled soon, Griffin's situation should be worth monitoring, even though coach Hue Jackson said Thursday it's too early to say whether Griffin will play when healthy.
