Steelers' Ladarius Green: Status decision to come soon

Green (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice and will learn Friday or Saturday whether he'll be activated from the Steelers' PUP list ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Joe Rutter of the Tribune-Review reports.

Analysis:

Green has increased his practice activity to include first-team work this week, so it appears he's primed to make his first appearance of the season Sunday. Whether that indeed proves to be the case will be known by Saturday's 4:00 ET deadline. If Green is cleared to play, he could benefit from fellow pass catchers Markus Wheaton (shoulder) and Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot) being sidelined. However, if Green is forced to wait another game to make his debut, he'll need to be activated from Pittsburgh's PUP list by Tuesday in order to play this season.
