Richard Sherman has faced criticism from many for his late hit on Buffalo Bills kicker Dan Carpenter, but he won't just let the controversy fade away.

The Seattle Seahawks cornerback said the play wasn't dirty after the game, and continued to defend himself on Tuesday, posting a photo of his attempt.

It appears Sherman did so to highlight the fact he got a hand on the football before making contact with Carpenter:

It's understandable why Sherman is intent on proving the play wasn't dirty, considering Carpenter's wife suggested he should be castrated for the hit.
