Steelers' Ladarius Green: Could make debut in Baltimore on Sunday

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Green (ankle) could make his Steelers debut Sunday in Baltimore, Dave Lolley of the Washington Observer-Reporter reports.

Analysis:

Tomlin also said he's been impressed by Green's attention to detail at practice, perhaps hinting that the tight end already has a strong understanding of the playbook. Considering he hasn't been able to do much besides study and rehab since signing with the team this offseason, Green should at least be in good shape from a mental perspective. He returned to practice last Tuesday during the Steelers' bye week, saying afterward he didn't have any limitations. Green can't yet be considered a lock for Sunday, and even if he ends up playing he'll likely start off with a part-time role. His return now seems to be a matter of when rather than if -- likely ending Jesse James' run of fantasy relevance, regardless of which player is technically considered to be the starter.
