The one-month timeline on the injury to Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls is nearly up, but he won't be rushed back to action.

Speaking to the media Friday, head coach Pete Carroll said Rawls will also need to work his conditioning back to game shape once the hairline fracture in his fibula he suffered in Week 2 is healed.

"We're still a couple weeks away," Carroll said, according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN. "We won't know until he starts to do the workload and all of that. But now we've got to get him in shape again and get him right. And we'll take our time doing that so that once he's back, he'll hopefully be coming back for good."

Christine Michael has handled the lead back duties for much of the season. Through six games, he has 406 rushing yards and four touchdowns while averaging 67 yards on the ground per game.

Rawls had just 19 carries for 25 yards before the leg injury.
