Titans' Marcus Mariota: Completes over 80 percent of passes in Week 8 win

Mariota completed 18 of 22 passes for 270 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Thursday's 36-22 victory over the Jaguars. He also gained 11 yards on three rushes and fumbled, but it was recovered.

Analysis:

It was a stellar night overall for Mariota, who helped the Titans build a 27-0 halftime lead on the strength of four drives of over 60 yards in the second quarter. Mariota also finished with an 81.8 completion percentage on the night, the second-highest by a Titans QB with a minimum of 20 pass attempts since the franchise moved to Tennessee from Houston before the 1997 campaign. His first touchdown pass of the night-- a 36-yard strike to Kendall Wright in the second quarter-- also marked his third scoring pass of 2016 that's traveled over 20 yards in the air, after managing only two such scoring throws in his rookie campaign. The 2015 first-round pick also has multiple touchdown passes in four straight games, while Thursday's 12.27 YPA figure was his best in that category this season. Although he's been quiet on the rushing front the last two contests (25 combined yards), Mariota also offers significant upside in that area, making him one of the hottest fantasy commodities at quarterback in any format at the moment. He'll look to continue his solid stretch of play against the Chargers in Week 9.
