Over the years, New York Jets receiver Brandon Marshall has shared an unusual list of his favorite quarterbacks, including Jay Cutler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and now, Josh McCown.

As the Jets prepare to play McCown's Cleveland Browns, the veteran receiver was very excited to hear about the prospect of facing his former Chicago Bears teammate when speaking with media.

"Oh, Josh is back? That is my guy," Marshall told Cleveland media on a conference call Wednesday, according to a Browns transcript. "Just an awesome man, an awesome quarterback. He is the example of what you want your kid to be. If you want to buy a jersey, that is the jersey you buy. I think you guys know who he is and how he conducts himself, how he approaches everything day to day.

"I can’t speak enough about him. He is the best."

McCown's best stretch of his career came with Marshall and the Bears in 2013 when the 14-year journeyman recorded 13 touchdowns over seven games with one interception in relief of an injured Cutler.
