Brady rules out coaching after playing career ends

Stew Milne / USA TODAY Sports

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won't be donning a headset anytime after his career ends.

Brady is still at the height of his powers, but at 39, it's never a bad idea to contemplate the prospect of life after football. Nonetheless, the 11-time Pro Bowler ruled out coaching once he hangs up his cleats.

"Coaching wouldn't be for me," Brady said according to Zack Cox of NESN. "No, certainly not. I like playing. I wouldn't be a good coach. I don't have the patience to be a coach."

Brady is in top form after serving a four-game suspension to begin the season, completing 75.2 of his passes for 1,004 yards, eight touchdowns, and no interceptions, as the Patriots won each of their three games with him under center.

The idea of Coach Brady must be alluring to some, but it's a good reminder to enjoy his career for what it's worth.
