Redskins' Vernon Davis: Limited practice Wednesday

Davis (groin) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

The Redskins' receiving corps is a bit banged up at the moment, with all of Davis, Jordan Reed, DeSean Jackson (hamstring/shoulder), and Jamison Crowder (groin) putting in limited practices to commence Week 8 preparations. Reed is attempting to rid himself of the shackles brought about by the concussion protocol, which will place the tight end in front of an independent neurologist Thursday. The results of the examination will likely determine whether he makes the trip to London for Sunday's contest against the Bengals, but another absence would put Davis in line for a third consecutive start.
