Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas has been the focus of trade speculation over the past two seasons, so he's getting used to the rumors floating around.

Even though head coach Hue Jackson unequivocally denied Thomas would be traded, the nine-time Pro Bowler says he "wouldn't be shocked" if he were shipped away, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

"Nothing surprises me in the NFL," Thomas added.

Rumors have surfaced stating the Browns' asking price for Thomas would be a second-round pick, something several tackle-strapped teams - like the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos - would consider paying.

Thomas believes a deal with the Broncos was almost consummated last season, saying it "got close," but "it's not close until it's done."

When asked if the Browns had made personal assurances to him about staying with the team, Thomas said they hadn't but hopes they stand behind the public denials.

"Feels good to be loved, Thomas said. "I'm hoping they stick to their word."
