Suggs to play through torn biceps: 'Not season-ending for a Raven'

Pretty much as soon as Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs found out he had torn his biceps, he wanted to play through it.

Nine days later, Suggs had one game missed under his belt, and was back on the practice field Tuesday. The veteran pass-rusher has played through plenty of injuries before, and never considered the ailment ending his season.

"Man, who am I? What team do I play for?" Suggs asked reporters after practice, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "I come from an era where this is just a bump in the road. It may be season-ending for somebody else. It's not season-ending for a Raven."

Suggs will wear what he called "an apparatus" on his arm to help deal with the pain, but as long as he can help get wins and doesn't suffer something more serious, he plans to be on the field.

"Have we met? I don't go on IR unless I absolutely have to, if I tear another Achilles or some s---," said Suggs, who tore his Achilles tendon twice between 2012 and 2015. "It's also a win-tolerance thing.

"How much do you want to win? How much do you want to play?"

Suggs will have a bit more time to recover this week, as the Ravens have a bye before they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 6.
