Robinson: Jaguars get better support in London than Jacksonville

Jacksonville isn't home sweet home for Jaguars wideout Allen Robinson these days.

On the topic of whether the team should bench struggling quarterback Blake Bortles, Robinson sounded off on fans who have made their opinions known by loudly jeering Bortles during the Jaguars' most recent loss at EverBank Field.

"When you hear the atmosphere of when we step out on the field, when we go to punt or before halftime when Blake takes a knee and you hear the booing, it's kind of funny to me," Robinson said, according to ESPN's Mike DiRocco. "It's funny that we get our best home-field advantage when we go to Wembley (Stadium)."

Robinson's words probably won't sit well with fans in Jacksonville, who for years endured some very bad teams while hearing in the media that the Jaguars were likely to relocate to Los Angeles or London.

The Jaguars now play an annual game in London and have many passionate fans abroad, but relocation looks very unlikely. Despite the team's reputation, Jacksonville doesn't even rank in the bottom five in attendance in the NFL. Owner Shad Khan is committed to Jacksonville and has invested millions in upgrading the Jaguars' stadium and practice facilities.
