Texans' Lamar Miller: Non-factor in Week 7 loss

Miller suffered a shoulder injury and was in and out of the lineup during Monday night's loss to Denver. He gained 61 yards rushing on 11 carries and caught three balls for six yards receiving.

Analysis:

Miller got banged up in the first half. He spent a good deal of time on the sidelines trying to loosen up the shoulder, before returning for more work in the second half. He's been a workhorse for the Texans this season, but after two clunkers in the last three weeks, perhaps we're seeing why the Dolphins didn't expose him to more than 13 to 15 carries per game. The Texans have a short week to prepare for Week 8 against the Lions, so we'll need to see if the shoulder responds. If not, Alfred Blue (11 carries for 63 yards against Denver) will move up to start.
