Redskins' Josh Norman: Needs to clear concussion protocol quickly

Head coach Jay Gruden said Norman (concussion) will need to progress through concussion protocol by Thursday in order to travel to London and play in the Redskins' Week 8 game against the Bengals, Brian McNally of 106.7 The Fan reports.

Analysis:

Norman currently resides in the NFL's concussion protocol after coming down hard during Sunday's game against the Lions. However, with the team departing for Europe on Thursday night, Norman faces a shorter timeline than usual to clear protocol and be eligible to dress for Sunday's action. If he's ultimately unavailable, Washington may have a hard time containing Bengals stud wideout A.J. Green.
