Bills' Shaq Lawson: Modest usage in debut

Lawson (shoulder) was used on just 14 of 73 defensive snaps during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, recording one tackle.

Analysis:

Lawson looked good when he was in there, putting some pressure on the Miami offense and almost picking up his first sack, but the Dolphins took control of the game and that led to far more rushing plays, plays where Lawson was kept off the field. While Lawson's use will certainly pick up in the coming games -- perhaps as early as this week as the Bills try to stop Tom Brady for once -- he'll likely remain a situational guy with several veterans playing so well in front of him.
