Falcons' Tevin Coleman: Diagnosed with hamstring strain
Coleman has been diagnosed with a hamstring strain, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports. On Monday, head coach Dan Quinn couldn't provide a recovery timetable for the running back.
Analysis:
Unable to remain in Sunday's game as a result of an injured hamstring, the nature of Coleman's ailment hasn't been revealed by Quinn. In Monday's media session, Quinn relayed he wants Coleman to be 100 percent before he returns, so a multi-week absence could be in the offing. Wednesday's injury report may provide an inkling about Coleman's chances to suit up Sunday against the Packers, but if he's ultimately ruled out, the Falcons will likely promote Terron Ward from their practice squad to serve behind Devonta Freeman.
