Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams avoided a significant knee injury after an MRI revealed no structural damage, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.

Williams may be able to play as soon as Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Head coach Jay Gruden confirmed Williams' left knee has no structural issues but will need to be monitored this week.

It's good news for the Redskins as they also lost guard Brandon Scherff and cornerback Josh Norman to injury during last week's loss to the Detroit Lions.

Scherff suffered an AC joint sprain and will be evaluated this week.
