Report: 49ers willing to trade Staley, want 1st-rounder in exchange

The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly willing to move one of their key offensive pieces.

After a 1-6 start that all but assures the 49ers will be in full rebuild mode for the rest of the season, the club is open to trading five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Staley, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The 49ers would be looking for a first-round pick in exchange for Staley.

Because of the teams reportedly interested - the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and New England Patriots - the first-rounder would likely come late in the round.

The 32-year-old is currently under contract for the next three seasons.

The 49ers have just over a week to complete a deal, as the trade window closes on Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. ET.
