Watch: Cardinals, Seahawks miss potential game-winning FGs

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

NBC's Al Michaels summed it up best: "This is impossible."

The Arizona Cardinals marched downfield in overtime, looking to secure a 9-6 victory over their principal NFC West rival, the Seattle Seahawks. However, Chandler Catanzaro botched a 24-yard field goal attempt, pinging the ball off the upright to extend the game.

It appeared certain the Seahawks would capitalize on Catanzaro's error, but it was all for naught, as Stephen Hauschka missed a 28-yard attempt with time running out.

It was a very rare occurrence for both kickers to miss from such short distances. According to ESPN Stats & Info, kickers went 47-of-51 in overtime from 29 yards or less since 2001.

The game ended in a 6-6 tie, the first draw since October 2014.
