Bills' Williams undergoes MRI, leaves hospital after hit from Landry

Mark L. Baer / USA TODAY Sports

Buffalo Bills safety Aaron Williams underwent a precautionary MRI on his neck after leaving Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins in an ambulance. Williams was subsequently discharged from the hospital, and is traveling with the team back to Buffalo.

Williams was injured by an illegal hit from Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Landry was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness, while Williams left the game and did not return.

Staff members packed Williams' clothes and other possessions as the team exited the stadium, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.

Williams suffered a serious neck injury last year against the New England Patriots, and

Landry said he apologized to Williams for the hit.
