Ajayi becomes 4th player with consecutive 200-yard rushing games

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

After starting the year in the doghouse, Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi is looking like the star of his offense.

For the second week in a row, Ajayi broke the 200-yard rushing barrier in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, going for 214 yards on 29 carries with one touchdown.

He is the fourth player in history to rush for 200 yards in back-to-back weeks, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, joining Ricky Williams, O.J. Simpson, and Earl Campbell.

Ajayi broke the mark with a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter after gashing the Bills for 53 yards earlier in the period. He had 204 yards rushing in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
