Falcons' Mohamed Sanu: Cleared for Sunday

Sanu (groin) was a full practice participant Friday and does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Analysis:

Sanu's midweek addition to the injury report initially caused some concern, but he still managed a limited practice Thursday and a full showing Friday, setting him up to fill his usual role as the No. 2 WR against a depleted San Diego secondary. He drew double-digit targets for the first time all season in last week's loss to the Seahawks, catching five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown -- his first score since Week 1. Sanu does rank second on the team in both targets (36) and receptions (21), but it's a distant No. 2 behind offensive centerpiece Julio Jones.
