Patriots' Dion Lewis: Not practicing yet

Lewis (knee) did not practice this week, Mike Petraglia of WEEI reports.

Analysis:

Lewis is eligible to return to practice at any time now that he's missed the first six weeks of the season while on New England's PUP list. While that bodes well for his eventual availability, the strong play of fellow rushers LeGarrette Blount and James White could result in the Patriots playing it safe with Lewis and waiting until after their Week 9 bye to activate him. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see when he rejoins his teammates in practice, as his 21-day window to be activated will kick in at that point.
