No. 1 overall pick Goff to get extended reps in Rams practice

Kelvin Kuo / USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff will see an increase in practice reps following Week 7, Steve Wyche of NFL Network reports.

The No. 1 overall pick in April's draft has shown marked improvement over the course of the season, and the franchise appears more comfortable with Goff seeing the field should that be necessary.

While starter Case Keenum has been solid at times, the Rams have struggled to move the ball consistently - ranking 21st in the league in passing offense despite a 321-yard performance in Week 6.

Goff has been the odd man out in a season in which rookie quarterbacks have excelled. Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott have both been stellar in extended time, while Paxton Lynch, Cody Kessler, and Jacoby Brissett have all seen the field ahead of the presumed best QB in the class.
