Redskins' Jordan Reed: Fails to practice Thursday

Reed followed up Wednesday's limited session with no drills Thursday, which isn't a great sign for a player with a rich history of concussions. Moreover, head coach Jay Gruden noted Wednesday that Reed must complete this week symptom-free in order to be available Sunday at Detroit. An appointment with an independent neurologist is on tap Friday, after which the Redskins could make a decision on the tight end's Week 7 availability.
