Ravens' Joe Flacco: Downplays shoulder injury

Flacco -- who missed practice Wednesday -- is downplaying his right shoulder issue. "It's nothing to worry about," Flacco noted Wednesday. "I have a little shoulder soreness, so I just thought it was best to take the day off and come back and see how it feels tomorrow."

Analysis:

"Really it's just about getting to the point where I feel like I can go out there and sufficiently throw the ball," Flacco added. "I think a little bit of rest right now is probably the best thing." While we wouldn't bet against Flacco toughing things out Sunday against the Jets, if rest ends up not doing the trick for him, then Ryan Mallett would get the Ravens' Week 7 starting nod at QB.
